Knowing that you are not alone, if you have a problem with a payroll there are people out there to help you. The encouragement from your fellow professionals is outstanding! Everyone who was in the study group had a chance to excel; only ourselves kept us back. I would encourage anyone who is in payroll or wants to become involved in payroll to get involved in this class and also be involved in our Chapter as well." Lucy Brown "I think if I didn’t know about your study group I won’t have my CPP. I remember a long time ago (around 10 years ago), I downloaded all the information required to take the test, but that information was general, I didn’t know anyone involved in this beautiful project you lead. The only thing I knew was that I had to study and take the test in Bakersfield, but the lack of information and motivation prevented me of going further. I found the study group very helpful." Carmen Olivia, CPP "I passed the CPP exam and owe this in part to being a part of the Heart of Oregon study group. Being accountable to cover material in an allotted time along with group discussion was invaluable. Thank you for the gift to my career development!" Sherry Blair, CPP "I thought the class was really amazing. Trying to sift through the Payroll Source on your own is a daunting task and can be discouraging. The opportunity to discuss the material was really important to my success. I am not sure I could have kept myself on track if it wasn't for the structure of the study group. I also met a lot of fabulous people and had a great time! The group was very laid back and open and allowed all involved to feel comfortable no matter what their knowledge or experience level. I personally contribute a large portion of my success in achieving my CPP to the study group and look forward to helping others out in the future." Hallie M Clark, CPP "The FPC/CPP study group, put on by The Heart of Oregon Chapter of the APA, gave me the tools and confidence to finally take the CPP exam in the fall of 2006. With out the guidance and encouragement of the instructors, Dee Nelson, Diane Kessler, and Barry Ostrom, I would have never considered becoming certified. Thanks to them, I can now proudly say that I am a Certified Payroll Professional." Jill Poe, CPP
